Jobs/Volunteer Work

Nursery Attendant - I worked as a nursery attendant at Crossroads Bible Church for about six months. I watched and entertained children from the age of one to five years old.

Hidden Acres Volunteer/Staff - I started volunteering at Hidden Acres Summer Camps in 2005. I started out as a jr. counselor where I was responsible for helping the head counselor with the campers, getting them to different activities, and managing the bedtime routine. One year I served on the kitchen staff where I helped cook the meals, clean, and serve food. I eventually began working as head counselor where I was responsible for teaching my group, overseeing my jr. counselors, the campers, and motivating everyone to learn and participate in all the activities. One year I also served as a coordinator where I was responsible for the morning teachings, setting up and overseeing the activities, overseeing all the counselors, jr. counselors, and staff, and being available to step in and help wherever needed.

Editor/Proof reader - In 2009 I offered my proof reading services to fellow students. I helped them organize their papers, correct grammar, check for formatting errors, and did some tutoring on how to use Word Processor.


Education


Home School - I was home schooled from pre-school to 12th grade. I graduated at the age of 17 in 2007.

Quo Vadis - In 7th and 8th grade I took some classes at a home school co-op. I received history, writing, geography, literature, and Bible credits as well as preparation for college work.

Eastfield Community College - I began taking duel credit courses at Eastfield during my freshman year of high school. I spent two years there accumulating high school and basic college credits.

Criswell College  - I began at Criswell in the fall of 2007. My major is Biblical Studies with two minors in Student Ministry and Christian Education. I will graduate in May 2012.
